NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (AP) -Alex Franklin scored 17 points and Siena overcame a 14-point first-half deficit to defeat Iona 64-51 Sunday.
Kenny Hasbrouck added 13 points, Edwin Ubiles 12 and Josh Duell 11 for the Saints (13-7, 8-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), who have won five of six.
Devon Clarke scored 14 points for the Gaels (7-15, 3-7). Kyle Camper, Andre Tarver and Gary Springer added eight apiece.
Iona jumped ahead 14-2 at the start and had their biggest lead at 24-10 before settling on a 30-26 halftime lead.
The Saints tied the game at 37 when Hasbrouck made a 3-pointer with 14:54 to play.
Duell's 3-point play with 12:55 remaining provided Siena with its first lead at 42-39.
Clarke scored with 5:46 left as Iona trailed 51-48, but the Saints responded with an 11-0 run over the next 4:26.
Siena outshot Iona 54.5 percent to 32 percent in the second half and converted 23-of-33 free throws in the game to 8-of-10 for the Gaels.
