Hofstra (6-12) answered with two runs in the third inning to take the lead. Three straight hits and a sacrifice fly to begin the inning led to the Pride's two tallies. Walraven stopped the rally by turning a sweet 5-4-3 double play.
Salerno doubled home sophomore RF
Chris Leahy in the top of the fifth inning to tie the score at 2-2. The Pride scored five in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good.

Justin Karn tossed 4.1 innings allowing four hits and four runs. The Gaels used seven pitchers in the game.
The Maroon & Gold begin MAAC action on the road this weekend at Saint Peter's for a three game set. The Gaels and Peacocks square off in a doubleheader on Saturday before completing the series on Monday.
