NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Iona College baseball team fell 20-2 to Canisius in MAAC action at Salesian Field this afternoon.

An RBI ground out by junior 3B Nick Rossetti and a run scoring single by senior C Andrew Wernicki accounted for the Gaels two runs.   Wernicki and junior LF Andrew Passerelle each had two hits in the Maroon & Gold's loss.

Canisius took the series by winning two of the three games.  Senior RHP Justin Karn took the loss.  Rookie RHP Jordan Gilruth allwed two hits and struck out three batters in the final two innings of the game.

The Gaels are back in action on Wednesday afternoon when they travel to the BIG EAST's Rutgers.
