PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Iona College women's outdoor track team competed at the 2010 Penn Relay Carnival hosted by the University of Pennsylvania on Thursday night. Graduate Anna Holm-Joergensen was the lone competitor for the Gaels.

Joergensen finished 10th overall in the 10,000-meter championship event.   Her time of 35:19.21 was a personal best and qualified the graduate for the 2010 ECAC Championship race in May.  Joergensen was just seven seconds out a top five finish in the event.  The top college finisher in the race from Texas A&M crossed in 35:03.91.

The women's team returns to action on Sunday afternoon at the Yale Springtime Invite in New Haven, CT.
