POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The Iona College lacrosse team dropped a 19-5 decision to MAAC foe Marist on Wednesday afternoon.
Freshman Mary Kate McCormick led the team with three assists. Junior Nina Veneziale had a pair of goals and juniors Angela Grous and Brenna Lade, and freshman Anna Kelly added single tallies.
Sophomore Blaire Nathanson and junior Maria Ortiz split time in goal making 12 saves.
Ashley Miller led the Red Foxes with four goals as 12 different players were credited with points.
Iona will conclude the regular season with a must-win game against Siena on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Senior Day presentation will begin at 12:50 p.m., as head coach Michelle Mason will honor the four graduating seniors – Kylie Gregory, Lauren Henwood, Nancy Ibrahim and Brittney Mabus.
