SOUTH KENT, CT - The Iona College golf team sits in 17th place after the first day one of the 2013 Hartford Hawk Invitational at Bull's Bridge Golf Club. In the first round of the day, the team carded a score of 323 before putting together a score of 316 in the second round of the day, finishing the day with a score of 639 (+63).

Junior Taylor Bellemare is tied for 55th after shooting a 13-over 157 over the first two rounds. Junior Tom McHugh is tied for 64th after carding a two round score of 159 (+15) on Monday. Junior Evan DeLuca, in his Iona debut, is tied for 78th after a 18-over 162 on day one. Freshman Stefan Cygan sits in 85th place after a two round score of 165 (+21) while classmate Brian Fitzpatrick is right behind in 86th after shooting a 22-over 167.

Round three is set to begin Tuesday at 8:00 pm.
