HAMBURG, NJ - Battling high winds, and gusts above 30 miles per hour, the Iona College golf team completed second round competition Monday morning at the FDU Knights Invitational held at Crystal Springs Golf Club. After 36 holes, the Gaels finished play with a two round score of 657, taking ninth.

Junior Taylor Bellemare was the team's top performer, finishing tied for 13th with a score of 157 (+15).  Junior Evan DeLuca was one of five players tied for 36th, finishing with a two day score of 164 (+22).  Junior Tom McHugh shot a 15-over 86 in round two, and finished tied for 49th with a score of 168 (+26) along with freshman Stefan Cygan, who shot a 10-over 81 on Monday.  Freshman Brian Fitzpatrick shot a 18-over 89 in round two, and finished tied for 68th with a score of 178 (+36).

Iona is back in action Thursday, when it takes part in the Monmouth Quad Match in Deal, NJ.
