LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL - The Iona College golf team completed action at the 2014 MAAC Championships Sunday afternoon at Disney's Palm Golf Course. The Gaels carded a team score of 315 (+27) in the final and finished the three day tournament in fifth place with a score of 950 (+86).

Saint Peter's took the team title with a final score of 931 (+67), while Fairfield's Alex Taylor took first individually with a score of 225 (+9).

Juniors Tom McHugh and Evan DeLuca each finished in the top 10 for the Maroon & Gold. McHugh shot a three-over in the final round, and finished tied for fifth with a score of 230 (+14). DeLuca carded a six-over 78 in round three, and finished tied for eighth with a score of 232 (+16).

Junior Taylor Bellemare shot a 15-over 87 on Sunday, and finished tied for 31st with a score of 247 (+31). Freshman Stefan Cygan posted a 10-over 82 in the final round, and finished tied for 34th with a score of 248 (+32).

Freshman Brian Fitzpatrick wrapped up his weekend with an eight-over 80 on Sunday, finishing tied for 41st with a score of 254 (+38).
