HELLERTOWN, PA - The Iona College golf team completed the second day of competition of the 2014 Lafayette Invitational at Silver Creek Country Club.  After two rounds of play, the Gaels carded a team score of 627 (+59), finishing 16th overall. Longwood University took the team championship with a score of 595 (+27).

Junior Taylor Bellemare shot an even par 71 in round two and finished tied for third with a two day score of 146 (+4).  Junior Tom McHugh shot a nine-over 80 in day two while freshman Brian Fitzpatrick shot a six-over 71, with each finishing tied for 62nd with a two round score of 159 (+17)

Freshman Stefan Cygan shot a ten-over 81 on day two and finished tied for 81st with a score of 163 (+21).  Senior Robert Winters shot a second round 13-over 84, and finished tied for 95th with a two day score of 169 (+27).
