INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The 2019 MAAC Champion Iona Gaels will travel to play the Maryland Terrapins in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Tournament at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21. The Maroon & Gold received the automatic bid out of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference after winning its first conference title in program history.
 
The Terrapins are the defending national champions completed the regular season with a 10-7-2 and lost to Indiana University in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament.

The game will be played in College Park, Maryland at Ludwig Field. The Terrapins were 8-3-0 on their home turf this season. 
 
The winner of Iona vs. Maryland will advance and face the No. 4 seed Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
