NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Iona basketball is excited to welcome Gael Nation back to the Hynes Center for the 2021-22 season. Fans are asked to be advised of some important information for Tuesday night's game vs. Appalachian State.
PREGAME FESTIVITIES
Guests are asked to please arrive early for several pregame features, including:
IONA PIPE BAND
Beginning at approximately 6:35 p.m., the Iona College Pipe Band will lead the student section in to the gym and perform on the court.
VETERANS DAY
In observance of Veterans Day, the New Rochelle Police and Fire Departments will present colors and unfurl a large flag on the court during a live performance of the Star Spangled Banner.
CHAMPIONSHIP BANNER
Prior to the introduction of starting lineups, the 2021 MAAC Championship banner will be unveiled as Iona men's basketball officially begins its quest for a sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth,
Covid-19 Spectator Protocols
As previously communicated, all fans entering Hynes Center this season will need to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, negative test, or Iona Basketball Vaccine Passport for entry.
A large crowd is expected for Tuesday's game, and guests are asked to factor this into arrival times.

Pregame Hospitality Reception presented by pepe auto group
Iona Athletics looks forward to again hosting receptions for its supporters on men's basketball game days. This year, receptions will be hosted in the LaPenta School of Business atrium, and are presented by
Pepe Auto Group.
- Tuesday's reception will be pregame, and doors will open at 5:30pm
- Athletics supporters who give at the President's Circle level ($1,000+/year) will receive a wristband at the entrance giving access to complimentary food.
- Iona season ticket holders and supporters who are not yet President's Circle members will have the opportunity to attend the reception, with food being available for purchase.
- Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
- Alcoholic beverages are not permitted inside the Hynes Center arena at any time.
