Madison Klein finished third in the mile and true freshman
Kedarjah Lewis was fourth in the 60-meter dash to lead the Gaels.
MILE
Klein ran a time of 5:13.45, less than three seconds behind the race winner, Swarthmore senior Nora Blodgett. Teammate
Maya Richardson, a red shirt sophomore, was fifth overall in 5:16.45. Rookie
Kate Sherman finished 13th in the 27-runner race field.
60-METER / LONG JUMP
Lewis, in her Iona debut, finished first in her heat and ran the fourth fastest time in the qualifying round with a time of 7.93. Lewis is a dual-sport athlete at Iona after earning MAAC Rookie of the Year honors in women's soccer in the fall. She also finished sixth in the long jump, with a top performance of 5.44 meters. It was the second longest jump in Iona women's indoor history.
800-METER
Senior
Olivia Lazarou earned a top 10 finish in the 800-meter event with her time of 2:26.85 as the eighth runner to cross the line.
