RIVERDALE, NY - Iona University women's cross country junior
Gabrielle Toth led an octet of Gaels at the 2022 ECAC Championship at Van Cortlandt Park. Toth was the No. 15 finisher in the 6k event.
IONA INDIVIDUALS
Toth's finished with a time of 21:45.2. Iona's scorers included: freshman
Tayla Gunton (58th, 22:36.0), junior
Maya Richardson (104th, 23:04.8) and freshmen
McKenna Arguien (122th, 23:15.4) and
Kate Sherman (177th, 23:51.3).
THE REST OF THE FIELD
The Gaels finished 17th overall among the 34-team race field. The top five team finishes included Stony Brook, Richmond, New Hampshire, Cornell, Harvard. UMass Lowell junior Kenzie Doyle was the individual champion, crossing in 20:45.1.

The Maroon & Gold is back in action in two weeks for the 2022 MAAC Championships at The Crossings of Colonie in Loudonville, NY. Iona seeks its 17th overall MAAC crown after winning the last six straight and 16 of the last 17.
