Twenty-Six Gaels Named MAAC XC All-Academic

EDISON, N.J. - Twenty-six members of the Iona University men's and women's cross country program were named to the MAAC All-Academic team ahead of Saturday's MAAC Championship in Loudonville, N.Y. Seventeen men and nine women represented the Maroon & Gold fitting the criteria of completion of two semesters and holding a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20.
 
The 17 men led all other MAAC programs, and nine women was tied for third most. There were 208 student-athletes from the 11 MAAC institutions on the two All-Academic Squad.
 
The 2022 MAAC Cross Country Championships will be held at The Crossings of Colonie course in Loudonville, NY on Saturday, October 29. It is the second time the championship will be held at the venue, first occurring in 2018. For information regarding the event, please visit maacsports.com/xc.
