STILLWATER, Oklahoma - Iona University men's cross country sophomore Lachlan Wellington finished 157th overall at the 2022 NCAA Championship at the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course hosted by Oklahoma State. He was the lone representative for the Gaels at the event.
 
Wellington finished the 10k event in 30:39.3. It was his first NCAA Championship event. Leading up to the race, Wellington finished fifth at the MAAC Championship and was All-Region following a ninth place finished at the NCAA Northeast Regionals.
 
The Gaels completed the 2022 cross country season and will commence their indoor track campaign on December 2 at the Rutgers Holiday Classic at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York City.
