Philadelphia, PA — The Iona University women's rowing team competed in its second event of the 2023 fall campaign Sunday morning, racing at the Navy Day Regatta in Philadelphia. The Gaels had two varsity boats represented in the Womens Collegiate +4 event, a 36-boat field navigating a 4,000 meter course on the Schuylkill River.

Cara Donnelly crossed at 16:25.96 but received a one-minute penalty to push the time to 17:25.96 for 29th place. Penn earned the top spot on the podium with a time of 15:12.77 in the event, followed by Georgetown and Villanova.
The Maroon & Gold head to Boston next Sunday (October 21) for the Head of the Charles Regatta.
