FAIRFAX, VA & NEW HAVEN, CT - Juniors
Madison Klein and
Grace Sparrow represented the Iona University women's outdoor track program in two separate events in Virginia and Connecticut. Klein was runner up in the ECAC 3,000-meter Championship while Sparrow finished sixth overall in the 800-meter event at the Yale Elite Last Chance Meet.
ECAC 3,000-METER RUN
Junior
Madison Klein earned silver at the ECAC Championships, posting a 9:46.20 in the 3,000-meter event. It was a personal best time for Klein either indoors or outdoors. It's also the third fastest outdoor 3k time in school history behind Kate Avery's 8:56.24 at the European Cup in 2014 and Salome Kosgei's 9:33.88 at ECAC Championships in 2005.
YALE 800-METER RUN
Junior
Grace Sparrow earned sixth place honors in the 800-meter event at Yale. Her 2:12.54 was shy of her personal best time set at the MAAC Championship last weekend.
