PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Iona University women's rowing team competed at the 2024 Kerr Cup Regatta on Schuylkill River on Saturday. The Gaels competed in the varsity eight and varsity four events at the regatta.
WOMEN'S VARSITY 8+

Grace Mutze finished fourth in their heat with a time of 7:15.9. The Gaels finished behind Fairfield and Loyola, and narrowly behind Monmouth and advanced to the petit final.

The Maroon & Gold shaved off six seconds in the final crossing first ahead of Jefferson and Monmouth in 7:09.9.

In the V4 event, junior coxswain

Amelia Rosario and freshman
Carly Schofield earned fourth in their heat in 8:26.0. Fairfield, Temple, and La Salle finished 1-2-3 while the Gaels bested Loyola Maryland by nearly two seconds.

UP NEXT
The Gaels host the annual Spring Metropolitan Championships at Glen Island next weekend. The event was renamed last year in honor of Br. Robert Novak, a longtime supporter and mentor of the Iona rowing programs.
