Iona Announces David Tottori As The Head Coach of Women's Golf

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - Iona University Athletic Director Matthew Glovaski & Golf Director / Men's head coach Sean Burke welcomes David Tottori to Gael Nation as the first head Coach of the Iona Women's Golf Program. The women's program will not compete until 2025-2026 as they will join the MAAC. 

"I'm excited for the hiring of David as our inaugural Women's Golf Head Coach. David's playing and coaching experience, along with ties to the NY area will ensure our program gets off to a great start. I look forward to working with David to lay the foundation for what should become a special program here at Iona." said Burke. 

David Tottori brings vast playing and coaching experience to Iona, having served as an assistant coach at three different schools since 2019. Prior to Iona he spent a season as the assistant head coach for the men's golf program at Westminster University in Salt Lake City, Utah. Before his time in Utah, the Saint Francis graduate spent two seasons at Northern Colorado University serving as both the men's and women's assistant coach. Where he would help name seven men golfers to the All-Big Sky team, along with two to the women's across two seasons. He was also on the coaching staff for  Northern Colorado Men's 2023 Big Sky Conference Tournament Championship win. 
  
Tottori began his golf career at the University of Hawaii at Hilo for two years and would later transfer to St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY. He completed his undergraduate degree in 2019 and served as a team captain 2018-2019. Tottori stayed on the coaching staff at St. Francis as a graduate assistant finishing his Master of Science in Business management in 2021.
