EDISON, NJ— Sophomore
Kayla Kalbaugh garnered Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Kalbaugh tallied her second straight shutout in goal for the Gaels who extended their unbeaten streak to five games after a 1-0 road win at Sacred Heart.
Kalbaugh recorded the second MAAC Defensive Player of the Week honors of her career. The 2025 All-MAAC Preseason honoree picked up MAAC Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week back on October 14, 2024 after a two-shutout week for the Maroon & Gold.
KAYLA KALBAUGH
The Pleasant Valley, NY native posted her second straight shutout for the Gaels in the 1-0 victory at Sacred Heart this past Wednesday. Kalbaugh made six first half saves and three second half stops on the way to a career-high nine saves over the Pioneers.

The Gaels return to Mazzella Field for the final two games of the regular season. First up is a matchup against Quinnipiac on Saturday, September 25 at 10 AM in the first matchup of a soccer doubleheader.
