RALEIGH, NC – The Iona University women's outdoor track team brought a group of four distance runners to take on the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, North Carolina. The 10-kilometer event Maroon & Gold duo of 
Tayla Gunton and 
Madison Klein highlighted the Gaels' efforts with both earning personal best times. 
WOMEN'S 10,000-meter run
Tayla Gunton set an impressive personal best time of 34:53.36 for Iona's best mark in the 10-kilometer event since Sophie Murphy's sub-35-minute time in 2023. 
Madison Klein joined in by setting her own personal best in the event with a time of 36:02.26. The pair finished 26th, and 60th respectively. 
WOMEN'S 5,000-meter run
Muireann Duffy was the first in Maroon & Gold to cross the line in the five-kilometer event. She earned a time of 17:39.63, finishing ninth in her section and 166th overall. Senior 
Kate Tugman finished 11th in her section and 171st overall with a time of 17:44.62.
