PROVIDENCE, RI - The Iona University women's track team took on the Friar Invitational hosted by Providence College on Friday, with more than ten Iona competitors taking part in six events. Among the Maroon & Gold athletes were 
Ava McAuliffe, 
Tayla Gunton, and 
McKenna Arguien who each set outdoor personal bests in their respective events. 
WOMEN'S 400-meter run
Ava McAuliffe led the way for the Gaels in the 400-meter event, finishing fifth with an outdoor personal best time of 59.31. McAuliffe's time places her within the top-15 of MAAC athletes in the outdoor 400 meters. 
Lauren Sonski (11th, 1:00.81), 
Zaheira Hegazi (15th, 1:03.31), and Rihanna Burgher (16th, 1:03.90) also competed in the event.  
WOMEN'S mile run
Tayla Gunton was the first Iona finisher in the mile distance, setting an outdoor personal best time of 4:58.36. The sub-five minute time placed Gunton in 15th. 
Madison Klein was the next Gael to bring in a personal best, coming in at 23rd with a time of 5:06.89. 
Alexa Doe finished 49th with a time of 5:35.61.  
WOMEN'S 5000-meter run
McKenna Arguien was the lone Gael Representative in the five kilometer event, setting a personal best time of 17:57.27 and finishing 27th overall.
