EDISON, NJ – Iona University men's lacrosse freshman
Carson Turissini was named MAAC Co-Rookie of the Year following a standout debut season with the Gaels, highlighting the program's continued growth in just its second year of competition.

Lleyton Hall, also earned All-MAAC Rookie Team honors for their performances throughout the 2026 campaign.
Turissini appeared in all 17 games and led the Gaels with 41 points on 20 goals and 21 assists. His point and assist totals set single-season program records, while his 20 goals rank third all-time for a season. He registered six games with two or more goals and tied for a team-best with 11 multi-point efforts, sharing the program record with
Cullen Lawry and
Jimmy Kennedy.
Following his first season, Turissini ranks second all-time in program history in assists and third in both points and goals. His signature performance came on March 25 against Mount St. Mary's, when he set a school record with nine points and six assists while adding his second hat trick of the season. He was later named MAAC Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week on March 30 for his efforts.
Hall, a redshirt freshman, made an immediate impact after his first appearance against Manhattan on March 14, recording a hat trick. He went on to score 11 goals in eight games, including hat tricks against Manhattan and Merrimack, and posted four multi-goal performances. His two hat tricks tied for the team lead alongside leading goal scorers
Cullen Lawry and Turissini.
The Gaels concluded the 2026 season, the second in program history, matching their inaugural win total with two victories. Both wins came in MAAC play, marking an improvement from the program's first season with an additional conference win.
