Edison, NJ - Junior Eleri Earnshaw and senior Sara Monarch have been named Second Team All-MAAC for their performances in the 2006 women's soccer season. Freshman Laura McCoy earned All-Rookie Team honors.

Earnshaw and Monarch anchored a tough Iona defense this season. Both players started all 19 games in their final season for the Maroon & Gold. Monarch picked up two assists on the season.

McCoy tied for the team lead with eight points in her debut season. She totaled two goals and four assists from her midfield position.

Fourteen members of the team earned MAAC All-Academic honors, the highest total in the conference. Those honored were Liz Allan, Suzanne Baldissard, Cassie Batinich, Ticiana DiCarlo, Earnshaw, Rosamaria Iacono, Julianne Marinaro, Monarch, Sarah Padegimas, Jayne Read, Christina Rizzi, Leeann Sudol, Megan Turnbull, and Devon Whalen.
