Jamaica, NY- The Iona College baseball team dropped a doubleheader to No. 30 St. John's this afternoon in non-conference action at Jack Kaiser Stadium. The Gaels (15-29) dropped the first game 2-0 before losing 17-2 in the nightcap.

Dylan McCullough (1-4) tossed six innings allowing six hits and two runs in his second straight solid outing.
The Red Storm (33-13) scored a run each in the fifth in sixth innings in the win.

Allie Abbatiello went 2-for-3 while rookie 2B
Mike Walraven went 1-for-3 accounting for Iona's only hits in the game.
In the nightcap, the home team scored early and often in the 17-2 rout. A seven-run first inning and a 10-0 lead after two proved to be the end for Iona.

The Gaels completed their seven-game road swing with a promising 4-3 record. The squad returns to Salesian Field this weekend for a three-game set with Saint Peter's beginning with a doubleheader at noon on Saturday.
