Loudonville, NY - The Iona College baseball team fell to Siena 7-4 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference series finale. The Saints earned wins in all three games of the series.
The Gaels took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Freshman DH
Kevin Mollema earned an RBI with a single that scored teammate 2B

Chris Griffin scored later in the inning on a wild pitch.
After the Saints answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning Marzella tied the score in the top of the third with an RBI single to center field.
Siena scored two in the fourth and one in the sixth to take the lead for good. In the eighth inning, the Gaels cut the deficit to 6-4. Mollema earned his second RBI of the game, plating Marzella again on a ground out.
Griffin went 3-for-4 with a run scored while Marzella and junior SS
Joe Lorenzo had two hits a piece. Senior LHP
Kevin Carmody took the loss. RHP
Shawn Walsh finished the game allowing a run and three hits in three innings of relief.
The Gaels complete their 2008 campaign this week in a non-conference series with Le Moyne beginning with a doubleheader on Thursday.
