Middletown, NY - Former Iona College cross country/track standout and current volunteer assistant coach Richard Kiplagat continues to inspire those who have both touched his life and have been touched by him with his performance in the Classic 10K this past weekend.

Reporter Kevin Gleason of the Times Herald-Record in Orange County, NY paints the picture of Kiplagat who competed event with a heavy heart after returning from his native Kenya hours earlier. Kiplagat returned home to attend the funeral of his sister Agnes who had lost her battle with heart problems at the age of 25.
