TERRE HAUTE, IN - The Iona College women's cross country team finished 26th overall at the 2009 Pre-National Invitational Blue Race at the LaVerne Gibson Championship XC Course hosted by Indiana State University.

Graduate Anna Holm-Joergensen was the Gaels' top performer with a 61st place finish in the 6k event.   She ran a time of 21:46.0.  Freshman Marion Joly-Testault, graduates Leonie Smith and Annelore Desaedeleer, and junior Kristen Peluso rounded out the Maroon & Gold's scoring.

The event marked the season debuts for Smith and Desaedeleer who look to help lead the Gaels to their fifth straight MAAC Championship next Friday (Oct. 30) at Van Cortlandt Park.
