SHELTON, CT – The Iona College women's rowing team competed against Sacred Heart University, Robert Morris University, and Manhattan College on the Housatonic River in Shelton, CT on Saturday, April 7^th. The host team, Sacred Heart, ran IV8+, IIV8+, IV4+ races in the first half of the schedule, and frosh/novice and doubling races after the break. With a strong headwind and head current, the first three races were 2000 meters, while the course was shortened to 1000 meters for remaining races after the break.

In the IV 8+ event, Sacred Heart posted the winning time of 8:36, Robert Morris finished second with 8:48, Manhattan's third-place time was 8:57, while Iona finished in 9:17.

In the IV 4+ event, Robert Morris won with a time of 10:42, Manhattan finished second with 11:49, Sacred Heart's third-place time was 11:52, and Iona finished in 14:26.
In the Frosh/Novice 8+ event, Robert Morris won with a time of 4:48, Iona placed second in 5:51.

In the Varsity 4+ event after the break, Robert Morris posted the winning time of 4:42.4, Sacred Heart finished second with a time of 4:42.9, Iona finished third with a time of 4:55.2, and Manhattan finished in 4:59.6.
