BETHLEHEM, PA - The Iona College men's cross country team competed in the 47th Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University. The Gaels finished 17th in the College Gold 8k race and had other competitors in the open 8k event. Sophomore
Donnovan Tucker finished second in the open event and freshman Matt Rankin was the Maroon & Gold's top performer in the Gold race.
Rankin finished 54th with a time of 54th 24:23.1. Other scorers in the race included freshman
Nick Soldevere (66th, 24:30.3), junior
Graham Baird (98th, 24:47) and freshmen
Nick Hunziker (132nd, 25:02) and
Peter Schulten (185th, 25:23). Rookie
Nick Sinofsky (242nd, 25:44) rounded out the Gaels performers in the Gold 8k).
Tucker impressed in the open race, running an 8k time of 24:32.5, finishing two seconds behind the race winner from Princeton. Rookies
TJ Harkins (89th, 26:14.9 and
Dante Ubriaco (184th, 27:12.5) also competed in the race.
