TALLAHASSEE, FL - Senior
Ehab El-Sandali capped his stellar cross country career with the Iona men's program with an All-America performance at the 2021 NCAA Championship. El-Sandali was one of two Gael competitors in the race and finished 25th overall with his 10,000-meter time of 29:25.3.
El-Sandali earned his second cross country All-America honor of the calendar year with his best-ever finish at the NCAA event. This past March, he finished 29th.
El-Sandali is the sixth Iona runner to earn multiple cross country All-America accolades and joined an elite group that includes Gilbert Kirui,
Mitch Goose, Leonard Korir, Mohamed Khadraoui (3x), and
Richard Kiplagat (3x).

Edward Goddard was 104th overall crossing in 30:10.8.
The individual champion was BYU's Conner Mantz (28:33.1) and the team champ was Northern Arizona.
Iona completes the 2021 cross country campaign and embarks on its indoor track & field season beginning December 4 at the Bill Ward Invitational in Staten Island and the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston.
