PROVIDENCE, RI - Three members of the Iona College men's outdoor tract team competed at the 2022 Friar Invitational, hosted by Providence College at Ray Treacy Track at Hendricken Field. The trio of Gaels all competed in the mile run.

THE MILE RUNDOWN

All three finished in the top 15 of 49 competitor race field. Junior Mael Gouyette was the Gaels' top performer, running a 4:01.83. He was fifth overall, and fifth in his heat, which proved to hold the top six times in the event. Junior Nick Soldevere earned the top time in his heat in 4:05.04. He was seventh overall. Junior Jamie Dee finished in 4:07.37, good for 13th place. He was fourth in the heat that was won by Soldevere.

UP NEXT

The Gaels continue action this weekend on the track at the 2022 New York Metropolitan Championships at Ichan Stadium in Manhattan.
