NEW YORK, New York - The Iona University men's indoor track and field team opened the 2023-24 campaign at the Rutgers Holiday Classic at the Armory Track & Field Center in New York City.
MEN'S 400-METER RUN
Freshman
Miguel Gonzalez made his Iona debut with a sixth place finish in the 400-meter run. He posted a time of 54.17 as the Gaels lone representative in the 11-runner race field.
MEN'S 300-METER RUN
Junior
Jordan Providence was eighth overall in the 300-meter event, posting a 35.26. Sophomore teammate
Jiles Addison finished 12th in 35.96. Rookies
Jevon Bolt (38.10) and Evan Gralitzer (38.20) made their debut in Maroon & Gold in the 35-competitor event.
MEN'S 60-METER HURDLES
Freshman Keith Holloway posted an 8.53 in the 60-meter hurdles, good for ninth place.
MEN'S 60-METER DASH
Rookies
Cameron Washington (10th, 7.09) and
Edmund Lok (17th, 7.23) competed in the 60-meter dash.
MEN'S SHOT PUT THROW
Sophomore
John Khader posted a 10th place throw of 11.27m in the shot put.
MEN'S 3,000-METER RUN
Junior Caleb Deane made his Iona debut, posting a 9:01.20 in the 3k event.
