BOSTON, Massachusetts - The Iona University men's indoor track and field team continued early action in the 2023-24 campaign at the Sharon Colyear-Danvile Season Opener at the BU Track & Tennis Center in an event hosted by Boston University.
MEN'S 3,000-METER RUN
A trio of Gaels competed in the 3,000-meter event. Red shirt freshman
Tristan Coles was the top performer, posting the 58th fastest time overall in 8:13.83. He finished fifth in the sixth and final heat.
Sophomore
Aiden Coles finished 62nd overall in 8:14.69 and was 11th overall in heat #5. Sophomore
Scott Fagan placed 80th (8:24.58), finishing 12th in the final heat. There were 106 runners posting times in the six heat event.
MEN'S 5000-METER RUN
Junior
Damien Dilcher posted a 13:55.44 in the 5,000-meter seeded run, good for 75th overall. Dilcher finished seventh in the sixth heat. The event featured 10 heats and 208 runners.
