The Iona University men's outdoor track teams completed action at the 2024 Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State University at the Paul Derr Track. The men had competitors in the 200- and 800-meter events with senior
Jadyn Tabois and junior
Jordan Providence in the sprint and senior
Nick Soldevere and sophomore
Aiden Coles in the middle-distance event.
200-METER DASH
The sprinters went off first with Tabois running the fastest time by any athlete at the meet for the second day in a row. Tabois' run of 20.67 was just 0.01 off of his personal best and 0.30 seconds off the meet record.
Providence set a personal best time of 22.00 (21.992), enough for 36th overall in the event, beating his previous best of 22.05.
800-METER RUN
In the 800, Coles ran 1:50.47 for 23rd overall and a personal best time. He topped his previous best of 1:51.06. Soldevere rounded out the meet for the Gaels with a strong showing of 1:51.90 for 47th overall, his time was just under two seconds off his personal best time of 1:50.15.
