NEW HAVEN, CT - The Iona University women's outdoor track and field team competed at the 2024 Mark Young Invitational hosted by Yale University at Cuyler Athletic Complex Saturday. The Gaels had several top 10 finishes at the event.
400-METER RUN
Sophomore
Nadine Jefremow crossed seventh overall in the 400-meter run with her time of 1:00.06. She lowered her personal best time and remains No. 3 on Iona's all-time performance list. Jefremow shed .34 seconds from her previous fastest time set two weeks ago at METS Championships in New York City.
3,000-METER STEEPLECHASE
Sophomore
Kate Tugman finished second behind host Yale's Sophia Karperos in the 3,000-meter steeplechase event, posting a time of 11:45.97.
1,500-METER RUN
Sophomore
McKenna Arguien was eighth in the 1500-meter event running a personal best time of 4:49.61. It was nearly 11 seconds faster than her previous best two weeks ago at METS.
400-METER HURDLES
Senior
Jamie Gudyka posted a personal best time of 1:14.06, good for seventh place.
100-METER DASH
Senior
Tonian Fullerton ran a PB in the 100-meter dash, posting a 13.38. It stands as No. 6 on Iona's performance list.
