LEXINGTON, KY- Iona University men's outdoor track senior duo
Damien Dilcher and
Jadyn Tabois advanced to Friday's quarterfinal heats in their respective events following open round competition.
Lachlan Wellington also competed Wednesday night in the 10,000-meter semifinal but fell just short of advancing to Eugene.
1,500-METER RUN
Dilcher earned a quarterfinal bid with a fourth place finish in the opening heat of the 1,500-meter run. His time of 3:43.29 was 11th fastest among the 48 runner race field. Dilcher competes in the quarterfinals on Friday at 5:15 p.m.
200-METER DASH
Tabois, who entered the event with the 36th fastest qualifying time among 200-meter race entrants, matched his non-wind aided personal best time of 20.66 and was 20th overall to advance to the quarterfinal Friday night. Tabois finished fourth overall in his heat. With the top three in each heat auto qualifying, he advanced based on having the third fastest time following the runners that already qualified. Tabois will compete in the quarterfinal heats on Friday at 7:50 p.m.
10,000-METER RUN
Wellington, competing in his third NCAA East 10k semifinal finished 14th overall posting a time of 29:28.55. The top 12 in the event advanced to the finals in Eugene. Wellington was less than five seconds behind the 12th place finisher.

Jadyn Tabois, 20th, 20.66.
1500 first round:
Damien Dilcher, 11th, 3:43.29.
10k semifinal:
Lachlan Wellington, 14th, 29:28.55.
