The second day of competition at the 2025 Metro Atlantic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships started out on a high note, as the MAAC, after consultation with the NCAA, awarded Iona with the gold medal in the Men's 800-yard Freestyle Relay. The night continued with two more individual gold and silver medals for the men and a pair of bronze medals for the men and women in the 200-Free Relay.

The two day point totals find the men in a tight team race with Niagara holding the top spot with 232.5-points; Marist stands at 219.5 and Iona has 207.5. Fairfield is fourth at 204.5.

The Iona women stand eighth with 95-points. Niagara, Marist and Fairfield hold the top three spots with respective totals of 289, 184 and 184.

The 800-Free relay results on Wednesday were placed on hold after a failure of the primary electronic timing system and backup times. The MAAC reviewed the watch times and poolside officials visual order of finish and confirmed that Iona touched the wall first at 6:29.30 as
Kieran Egan (1:37.78),
Nate Wales (1:39.82),
Harry Platt (1:38.51) and
Michael Faughnan (1:33.19) were under the MAAC and Iona standards.

Thursday's finals saw Faughnan grab his third consecutive MAAC 500-yard Freestyle title with a new MAAC record of 4:19.62. Junior
Matthew Woyksnar posted a career best for tenth at 4:33.40. The women's race had Sophomore
Anabel Huffstutler place 13
th with a career best effort of 5:04.38.Â

The 200-yard Individual medley saw Sophomore
Noah Giunta place eighth with a Iona record time of 1:50.38, breaking the 2023 mark held by Daniel Hadary at 1:50.47. Senior
Brian Baldwin fifteenth at 1:53.28. The women's race had Junior
Brennyn Veit and Freshmen
Raegan O'Brien place twelfth and thirteenth with respective times of 2:07.13 and 2:07.52.

The 50-yard Freestyle had sophomore
Kieran Egan lower his own school record with a silver medal effort of 20.13, Nick Patino (20.58);
Mikel Palaj (20.54) and
Nate Wales (20.76) were seventh, eleventh and thirteenth, respectively.

The women's 200-Free Relay team of
Megan Josephs (23.95);
Ashley Benkert (23.64) Nia Thomas (23.94) and
Julia Moser (23.52) took bronze at 1:35.05. The men's foursome of Nick Patino *20.49);
Matthew Loftus (20.35),
Nate Wales (19.88) and
Mikel Palaj 20.23 took bronze at 1:20.75.

th place effort on the 3-Meter Springboard.
