PRINCETON, NJ -Â The Iona men's outdoor track and field team competed at Weaver Stadium in the Larry Ellis Invitational on Friday and Saturday. As a a final tune-up before the outdoor MAAC Championships next week, multiple Maroon & Gold competitors took home personal best marks.Â
MEN'S 3000-meter SteepleChase
Three Iona men competed in three separate 1500-meter heats split between Friday and Saturday.
Tristan Coles set the fastest time of the bunch with a personal best time of 3:43.46 in the "Mike Brady" Elite heat, finishing 8th out of 11 runners.
Tadhg Donnelly joined his teammate in the 3:43's with a personal best mark of 3:43.97, finishing 6th among 46 finishers in the Friday elite heat. Â
On Saturday,
Christian Audrin finished in 33rd out of 41 with a time of 4:09.90.
MEN'S 100-meter dash
Cameron Washington set a personal best time with a mark of 11.01 seconds in the 100-meter dash. The Iona sprinter's time sits well withing the top 20 100-meter efforts in the MAAC this season. Â
MEN'S 400-meter Hurdles
Keith Holloway moved farther up the ranks of the top-10 all-time Iona 400-meter hurdles efforts with a personal best time of 57.11. The Iona athlete finished 16th overall with his time placing him within the top-15 of MAAC outdoor track efforts this season. Â
