Iona's women's golf team closed out the month of March with a 12th-place finish at The Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay, hosted at Prospect Bay Golf Club in Grasonville, MD. The Gaels featured six golfers in the 36-hole event.

Maria Luiza Soares led the Maroon & Gold, opening with a strong round of 80 before finishing with an 87. Leia McKenzie and Michaela Fernandez paced Iona in the second round, each carding team-best 84s.

Makenna Paxton, Cassandra Pinho, and senior Sabryna Custodio rounded out the Gaels' lineup, contributing to the team effort across both rounds.

Iona returns to action on April 3 at the Hofstra Women's Golf Classic in East Meadow, NY, competing on the Blue Course at Eisenhower Park.
