PRINCETON, NJ- The Iona University men's cross country competed at the 2024 Princeton Fall Classic on the Meadows Campus course hosted by Princeton University.
THE RUNDOWN
The Gaels were paced by sophomore
Peter Fogarty who finished the 8k course in 24:30.9, enough for 112th place. Next home for the team was sophomore
Scott Fagan whose finishing time was 24:49.4 for 145th place overall.
The third scorer for the Gaels was sophomore
Christian Audrin who came home in 25:51.2 in 203rd place. Rounding out the scoring for the Gaels were sophomore
Jack O'Keefe (26:38.0, 220th), and freshman
Jack Novelli (27:36.8, 226th). Senior
Caleb Deane (27:48.2, 227th) also competed.
As a team the Gaels finished in 22nd place.
TEAM STANDINGS
Villanova won the team title with a score of 70 points with Georgetown in second with 87 points. Rounding out the top five teams were Princeton in third with 92 points, North Carolina in fourth with 106 points and Colorado State in fifth place with 138 points.
