NEW YORK, NY - The Iona University men's indoor track & field team raked in four gold medals in the first evening of the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships at The Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory in New York, New York.
Tadhg Donnelly,
Lachlan Wellington,
Ollie Boltz, and
Peter Fogarty swept the top four positions in the 5000-meter event final, while the distance medley relay quartet took home silver to complete the night.
MEN'S 5000-METER RUN FINAL
The Maroon & Gold swept the podium yet again in the Men's 5000-meter event, this time adding another finisher to take the top four spots.
Tadhg Donnelly claimed the gold with a time of 14:14.48, with
Lachlan Wellington following in second with a time of 14:14.69.
Ollie Boltz completed the Iona-filled podium with a personal best indoor five-kilometer time of 14:15.40.
Peter Fogarty set a personal best and came in fourth at 14:24.62. With the incredible distance effort, the four Iona runners took home a total of 29 points for the meet.
MEN'S DISTANCE MEDLEY RELAY FINAL
Iona pulled in eight more points on the night thanks to and earned silver medal in the distance medley relay.

Caleb Deane, and
Tristan Coles competed and finished with a collective time of 10:06.93.
MEN'S MILE RUN PRELIMINARIES
Four Gaels qualified for the mile finals taking place tomorrow, with
Bradley Giblin being the first in Maroon & Gold across the line, coming in at second with a time of 4:16.45.
Matt Rankin (3rd, 4:18.08),
Duncan Robinson (4th, 4:12.29), and
Andrew Fogarty (8th, 4:15.17 pb) rounded out the qualifying spots.
Caudell Cajuste (18th, 4:26.65) also competed in the event.
MEN'S 800-METER DASH PRELIMINARIES
Tristan Coles led the way for the Gaels, qualifying and coming in first in the 800-meter run preliminaries with a time of 1:54.99.
Caleb Deane (12th, 1:57.82)
Christian Audrin (15th, 1:58.84 pb) and
Jack Novelli (32nd, 2:04.74) also finished the event.
MEN'S 200-METER RUN PRELIMINARIES
Three Gaels posted strong performances in the 200-meter dash, with
Cameron Washington being the quickest Iona athlete, narrowly missing qualification and coming in 10th with a time of 22.01.
Joe Surozenski (27th, 23.61) and
Edmund Lok (28th, 23.74) rounded out the list of Iona competitors.
