NEW YORK, NY - The Iona University men's indoor track & field team competed at the 2025 Fastrack National Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, NY.
Tadhg Donnelly highlighted great efforts in the distance events for the Gaels, with the Clogherhead, Ireland native posting a personal best of 4:00.71. The time stands as the fastest indoor mile ran by any Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference athlete this season.
MEN'S 5000-METER RUN
Freshman
Ollie Boltz completed his first collegiate 5000m as the runner-up with a time of 14:43.71. The Cairns, Australia native was the sole Maroon & Gold representative out of 32 finishers.
MEN'S 3,000-METER RUN
Lachlan Wellingtion posted a time of 8:14.11 and finished runner up in the 3000-meter run, as teammate
Peter Fogarty followed in fourth place, setting a personal best time of 8:20.71. Two more Maroon & Gold runners filled out the top ten with
Thomas Crockett taking home seventh with a personal best time of 8:26.73 and
Andrew Fogarty finishing in tenth at his personal best time of 8:29.10.
Jack Novelli would be the next Gael across the line, besting his previous indoor 3000-meter time by more than 25 seconds and coming home 43rd with a time of 9:04.71. Jack O'keefe completed the three-kilometer event in 51st with a time of 9:18.54.
MEN'S Mile RUN
Tadhg Donnelly set a personal best of 4:00.71 in the men's mile event, finishing fifth and setting the top mile time of any MAAC competitor this season.
Tristan Coles followed in 6th, posting a personal best time of 4:01.65.
Matt Rankin rounded out the top ten in 9th, finishing with a time of 4:05.60.
Scott Fagan finished 11th with a 4:07.98.
MEN'S 800-METER run
Tristain Coles finished 7th and 1st among all MAAC finishers with a time of 1:55.91.
Matt Rankin (10th, 1:56.37) and
Tadhg Donnelly (18th, 1:57.33) rounded out the top 20 for the Gaels.
Caleb Deane (22nd, 1:58.48) and
Scott Fagan (59th, 2:03.82) also competed in the event.
MEN'S 400-METER DASH
Cameron Washington crossed the line as the highest placed Gael out of 119 finishers, completing the two laps in 19th with a time of 50.42 seconds, a personal best. Rookie
Jack Bretthauer was the next to set a personal best time of 52.34, coming in at 66th.
Evan Gralitzer joined the personal-best party with a time of 52.80. Rookies Joe Suronzenski (85th, 53.14) and Hunter Macduff (112th, 55.67) also competed in the event, both for the first time in their collegiate career.
MEN'S 60-METER DASH
Cameron Washington stood as the only Maroon & Gold competitor in the 60-meter dash, coming 14th in the preliminaries with a time of 7:05.
MEN'S 60-METER Hurdles
Keith Holloway was the lone Gael representative in the 60-meter hurdle event, finishing 14th in his Preliminary with a time of 8.63.
MEN'S TRIPLE JUMP
Julian Shaw competed in the Men's triple jump, finishing 19th with a mark of 12.26m
