BETHLEHEM, PA- The Iona College women's cross country team finished 11th overall at the 2009 Paul Short Run gold race on the campus of Lehigh University. Graduate
Anna Holm-Joergensen led the Gaels with an individual 36th place finish. The race field contained 40 teams and 363 runners.
Jorgensen made her Maroon & Gold debut and crossed the 6k course finish line in a time of 21:20. Classmate
Leonie Smith was Iona's second finisher in 51st place. Smith also ran in a cross country meet for the Gaels for the first time and finished in 21:32. The 2009 MAAC XC champion
Annelore Desaedeleer was 86th (21:50). Juniors
Natalie Finnerty (22:12) and
Kristen Peluso (22:15) were the final scorers for the Gaels.
