Aimee (Bryers) Alt '03, '04MBA was a dual-sport student-athlete at Iona, competing for the water polo and swimming & diving programs. Alt was named swimming & diving's Most Valuable Player as a junior and senior in 2002 and 2003. She also received the 2003 Joseph E. O'Connell Award for overall academic and athletic excellence while at Iona.
At the time of her graduation, Alt was the school record holder in the 500-, 1,000- and 1,650-meter freestyle and the 200- and 400-meter individual medleys, as well as being part of the then school record 200- freestyle and 400-meter medley relay teams. At the time of her induction, Alt's times in each event still rank top-12 all-time in Iona history.
As a water polo student-athlete, Alt was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team four times and Collegiate Water Polo All-Academic twice during her time at Iona. She was a starter on Iona's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference women's water polo championship in 2004 and noted for her proficiency on swim-offs and on defense.
