Arrigoni Hall of Fame
Long time friend of Iona College Athletics, Bill Maloney enters the Iona College Goal Club Hall of Fame this year.
One of the most visible and generous supporters of Iona Athletics, Maloney was awarded an honorary degree from Iona in 1974. Maloney was also awarded, by the Iona Alumni Association, the Brother William B. Cornelia Founders Award for outstanding service to Iona College in 1977.
As Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Iona, Bill used his considerable talents and influence to forward the course of Iona Athletics in various ways for many years.
Bill’s generous gifts of his time and appreciation, his leading many young alums to IBM over the years, his chairing of the capital campaign which helped Iona build Mazzella field and refurbish J.B. Buono Field, and his general friendship and concern toward the mission of Iona College Athletics award him a rightful place in our Hall of Fame.
