Arrigoni Hall of Fame
Kathy A. Kunath '03 is one of the most decorated volleyball student-athletes in program history and the second to be inducted into the Iona College Goal Club Hall of Fame.
Kunath’s impressive career and statistical accomplishments rank high in the program record books. Her career 1,556 points and 1,339 kills are No. 2 all-time while her 1,360 career digs rank No. 3. Kunath was the second Iona volleyball player to record 1,000+ kills and 1,000+ digs. At the time of her induction, she was one of only three to accomplish the feat.
At the time of her graduation, Kunath held three single-season school records including total kills (384), attack attempts (1,111), and matches played (37); all accomplished during her senior campaign in 2002. Her total kills (363) as a junior also set the Iona standard before she eclipsed it the following season. As of her induction, Kunath ranked in the top 20 in six single-season program categories including: fifth and eighth in total kills; 12th in kills per set (3.39, 2001); 16th in aces per set (0.42, 2000); 15th in total digs (435, 2002); ninth (438.5, 2002), 12th (415.5, 2001) and 18th (389, 2001) in total points; and remained the school record holder for single-season matches played (37, 2002).
