During his tenure as president the Iona athletic department has continued to flourish and he has left his mark on Iona athletics for all-time.
Through the building of Mulcahy Center and Mazzella Field, the expansion of women’s athletics, the development of athletic scholarships in almost all sports, joining the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, and the upgrading of Division I-AA football, Brother Driscoll has been a driving force behind the success of Iona athletics over the years.
As Iona’s most loved and recognized alumnus, his vision and stewardship of Iona athletics places him among our all-time greats.
