Arrigoni Hall of Fame
One of the greatest women's soccer players to don the Maroon & Gold, Tatum Nussbaum '99 still stands atop the Iona University record book in several categories, nearly 30 years since her time as a student-athlete.
Nussbaum was a part of Iona's first-ever women's soccer championship in 1992, which saw the Gaels defeat Loyola University in 3-2 penalty kicks after a scoreless regulation and overtime period.
At the time of induction, Nussbaum was Iona's all-time leader with 32 goals scored, 15 assists, six game winning goals and 79 total points. Â
In 1992, Nussbaum scored 14 goals and recorded a program single-season record of 10 assists. A year later she followed it up with an Iona record 18 goals and five assists. The marks still stand as the No. 1 and No.2 point scoring totals in school history. Nussbaum's 18 goals in 1993 was at the time the second most in MAAC history. Â For her efforts she was named an All-American. Â All of her tremendous accomplishments came in just two seasons in Maroon & Gold before her retirement.
Nussbaum earned a degree in Education from Iona's School of Arts and Science in 1999.
